In some countries, many people suffer from health problems due to overeating fast food. It is, therefore, necessary for governments to impose a higher tax on this kind of food.

To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

It is true that gluttonizing junk food has raised serious health issues in some nations, and the authorities should introduce a higher-rate tax on the food. I agree with the opinion.

Fast food is a great way to grab a quick bite to eat if there is no time for cooking, or if there is no food in the house. However, being able to order fast food this easily could for sure encourage overeating, weight gain, and other health issues. Some examples of this statement being true involve countries such as Canada and the United States. Many people in these areas of the world are lucky enough to have the convenience to order food through various methods, whether it is through online applications such as Uber Eats or Skip the Dishes. There is also the traditional way of going to a drive through and ordering fast food there with fast service available.

Because of how easy it is to access this sort of unhealthy food, it may be necessary to impose a higher tax, to discourage the public from choosing this method of diet. At the end of the day, a diet in someone can make or break your health. Exercising is an important part of one’s health, but it can only do so much. If the diet is full of food that does not give our brain and body the nutrients it needs, it could cause long-term health issues.

All in all, it may be necessary for governments to impose a higher tax on this sort of food, seeing how it can affect people this way, but I also think it is important to be mindful of what we eat and to keep a healthy food plan when possible.
